This is one man's view and one man's perception and one man's experience. So, yes, it is a part of what has happened in Iraq, but it is not the full story. Many Iraqi's have appreciated the care and protection that they have received. Many Iraqi's have hoped that Americans and others would not leave Iraq so quickly. They fear extremists, terrorists ( who continue to strike very often). Clearly, the presense of Americans is not all good.
In Afghanistan there is similar problem. Women, especially, seem to welcome US soldiers, because the women are so often mistreated, denied education, have acid thrown in their faces, blamed for adultery, when it was the man who caused the adultery. All of this is very complicated. It is not good to say this is what is happening. It is one view. We all see life differently. We need to come together and share our views. We each own a piece of the truth. We need to share our pieces and not sterotype one another. Many Jewish people support the Palestinians and care about them. It is not fair to call an entire people bad, because of the behavior of a few. That is what we are seeing with Muslims at this time. A few men attacked the World Trade Center and others blame all Muslims. That is not fair. What Americans are trying to do in Iraq is not bad. It is complicated. It is sometimes bad. It is sometimes good. It sometimes causes more trouble. It sometimes makes less trouble. Peace be with you.
