Salaam,
I appreciate Ali's concern for the Shiite Sect - but I guess this is a perfect example of the misinformation that the lecturer in the video contributed too. Those who want to know what the majority Shiite think can visit sites like Al-Islam.org which is where many Shiite books/lectures can be found. Learn about them from their sources, not from what others claim to know about them.
Fe amanillah

Salam,

The Entire Shiite Sect is Deviant but some are extremely deviant and some are less. Of course i'm talking about the twelvers who mix UnIslamic theories and concepts with Islam as for other groups such as the Zaidis they aren't deviant and are identified as part of mainstream islam or Ahel al Sunnah.

May Allah guide the twelvers...

Salaam Alaykum,

The Scholar's description of "Shia" was either misinformed or not genuine. I agree that there are people who think Imam Ali (as) is God and they may call themselves "Shia" BUT who is the majority of shia? The exact numbers are probably hard to find, one source I saw wrote 85% of Shia are the "Jaafari" mazhab. And this 85% does not hold any such belief and in fact believe the Imam Ali (as) was a student of the Holy Prophet (this doesn't lower the status of Imam Ali, it just tells how high the status of the Holy Prophet is!)

In any case to simply brush over the more "moderate sects of Shia" and speak as if a big chunk of "shia" believe Imam Ali (as) is God (astagfirallah) was unfair and unscholarly. Just goes to continue to misinform the Ahl Sunnah on what Shia believe....
