Hello,

I have been studying Islam for about four years now.  However, I still have many questions.  I would love to meet with someone who is Muslim and knows about Islam.  I would prefer to meet with a woman.  We don't have to meet in person, email is fine as well.  :o)  I would love to eventually take classes, and Insha Allah convert.  But, I think it is a good idea to know a religion fully and understand it fully before making any decisions.  Thank you so much!

Hi Melinda,

I see two other sisters have offered to help you in learning about Islam. I just waned to offer my help also because I became Muslim four years ago. Sisters who were born Muslim gave me incredible guidance but sometimes they didn't understand some of the feelings I felt because they never experienced it.

Becoming Muslim was amazing, words can't describe the peace it brought me, but sometimes it was extremely hard to change my life and try to fit into the Muslim community while dealing with a family of non-Muslims. If you need anything or have any questions please feel free to email me. :) (judyjehaan@gmail.com)

If I could only give you once piece of advice it would be to not follow what someone tells you (unless they are Imams or Scholars) without them providing the source or you double checking it in the Quran or sayings of the Prophet peace be upon him. Sometimes we can unknowingly teach culture instead of Islam, which is so confusing for new Muslims. All new Muslims I've met had to deal with this.

God willing the path towards Islam (if you choose to become Muslim) will be easy for you.
